Phase contrast microscope utilizes the difference in refractive index and thickness between different structural components of an object to convert the optical path difference through different parts of the object into the difference in amplitude (light intensity). It is an infinite bidirectional chromatic aberration correction optical system with a focal length of 45mm, which uses the principle of optical phase contrast to make unstained low contrast specimens clearly visible. It is mainly used to observe live cells or unstained tissue sections, and can also be used to observe stained samples lacking contrast. Total magnification: 40X-400X.
